New Energy Supply Arrangements

The Southern Alpine Resort Management Board (SARMB) is the generator, distributor and retailer of electricity at the Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort – Baw Baw Village. SARMB is also the distributer and retailer of gas.

New connections:

Baw Baw Village site holders requiring a new connection to the Village electricity or gas networks are required to submit an energy connection request to Connection works must be undertaken by a licenced provider and must not be commenced until an Energy Services Connection Permit is issued by the Board.


Supply of energy to Baw Baw Village properties is subject to the Energy Supply – Electricity and Gas – Agreement terms and conditions. New customers should complete the Customer Details Form and return this to

Energy Fees and Charges (Effective 25/1/2022):

Consumptions Charge – Electricity Usage Tariff $0.87 per kWh

Consumption Charge – Gas Usage Tariff $0.95 per litre

Supply Charge $43.00 per meter per quarter

*GST is applied to all fees.

Meters are read quarterly around 15th of February, May, August and November. Customer bills are issued quarterly shortly after each meter reading.

Supply Issues:

The Resort aims to deliver a continuous and reliable energy supply, however the Baw Baw Village is a remote alpine destination and unplanned outages do occur and may be for an extended period. The Resort provides communication to customers in advance of any scheduled outages. These are scheduled to minimise impact on customers , resort services and visitors.
