Get to the snow by train & taxi

Accessing Mt Baw Baw by train and then taxi is another option for those travelling in groups or families. Follow the steps below if you’d like to consider travelling by train. You can also keep your eyes peeled for the annual steam-powered Snow Train.

Step 1: Book Taxi Transport from Moe Train Station to Mt Baw Baw

• Arrange your pick up from Moe Train station or elsewhere

• It is approximately a 1.5 hours drive from Moe train station to Mount Baw Baw.

Step 2: Catch a train to Moe Station to meet your bus or taxi

• See the timetable for the Gippsland Line from Melbourne to Moe and check to see if there are any service interruptions.
• See the Gippsland line map
• Make sure your train arrives 15 minutes before your taxi or transfer departs to Mt Baw Baw.
