Winter Information & Price Guide

The following information is valid for school groups only, visiting Monday – Friday during the school term. If you’re visiting on weekends or school holidays, surcharges will apply.

Resort Entry
Entry into the resort for school groups arriving via coach charter or cars is discounted. For groups less than 8 or on weekends we request you book online, or pay at the gate at the public rate.
Teachers receive free resort entry at a ratio of 1:7

Snow Sport Lessons
Our prices the most competitive in Australia. We run cross country, downhill skiing or snowboarding lessons. Lessons times are 10:00am, 12:00pm, and 2.30pm but other times may be requested. Schools teachers receive free lift passes and participation in lessons to a ratio of 1:7. Beyond this extra passes will be invoiced. School rates do not apply for weekends. Lift tickets are not included for weekend or school holiday bookings.

Accommodation

A wide selection of accommodation styles are available with prices from $35 to $49 dollars per night/pp for midweek stays.
Select your preferred option on our booking portal and let us book it for you, call us on 03 5165 1136, or book directly with private lodge owners.
  • Check in times range between 3pm and 5pm. Check generally out between 12pm and 4pm.
  • Early check-in may be requested where bookings allow.
  • Lodges require students to bring your own bedding (sleeping bag, pillow, sheet) unless stated otherwise
  • School lodges are typically bunk style with group kitchen and separate male/female/staff rooms and toilets.
  • Storage of luggage before check-in is available. Please request in advance.

Snow Camping

Camping within the resort’s boundary will require a permit. Permits cost $50 per group per night. All schools staying within the Resort’s boundaries must submit a trip notification with the School Coordinator and Ski Patrol, and check in with Ski Patrol before departing for their trip. Schools are responsible for their own safety gear, risk assessment, all camping equipment and emergency communication devices.
  • Bloomfield’s Picnic Area – Close to the National Park boundary, a roughly 1 hour snow shoe walk from the village
  • Downey’s Picnic Area – Midway to summit, closer to the Village but smaller
  • Saxton’s Picnic Area – Easily accessible from Resort Road
  • Nordic Bowl – Very close to the village, larger tent capacity

Getting Here

Option 1: Historic Tourist Road
The turn off from the Princes Highway (M1) is at Drouin/Mt Baw Baw exit, continue along via Noojee. The tourist drive is very picturesque but the road is narrow and winding.

Option 2: South Face Road
From the M1, take the turn off at the Moe exit and continue via Erica. Take the left turn off at South Face Road. South Face Road is 26km of unsealed road, but a good wide road & straighter than the Tourist Road.

Option 3: Scenic Suburbs
The best option from the eastern suburbs is to travel along the Warburton Highway, turning off at Yarra Junction which then joins the Tourist Road at Noojee.

Other Information

Risk Assessments and Insurance Documentation

To make your visit as smooth as possible, the Resort can provide Risk Assessments for activities such as tobogganing, snow fighting, skiing etc. We can also provide the latest copy of our Public Liability Insurance on request.

Snow Sport Levels & Lesson Information

View Sections 3 and 4 of our Curriculum Overview document to assess your student’s ability level
  • To maximise your experience ensure students arrive 15 minutes prior to the lesson start time.
  • In the event you are late we may not be able to reschedule to another time, resulting in cancellation or shortening of your lesson without refund.
  • Helmets are required for all Snow Sports lesson participants under the age of 18 years. Helmets can be provided (Pre-booking required)
  • We require at least 1 school staff member present to assist with student management.
  • Lessons under five students may be combined with a public lesson or reduced to 1hr at Snow Sports discretion.

  • Booked lessons on weekends will incur a 20% surcharge from the price above
    • Minimum 6 per session or may be mixed with public bookings
  • Tobogganing booked through eStore as member of the public
  • Scout groups can be given school rates on weekdays if not in July School Holidays, and during September School Holidays

Terms & Conditions

  • Teachers are free for most activities at a 1:7 ratio
  • Final student numbers must be updated 14 days before your trip, and cancellations after this time may incur a staff scheduling charge
  • Payment is to be made before arrival at the Resort unless arranged otherwise with School Coordinator
  • Reissue of invoice due to changes less than 14 days may incur fees
  • These prices apply for weekdays only
  • Once booked; accommodation bookings may incur a cancellation fee of between 50% and 100% at the discretion of the private lodge operator
  • Once paid; the Resort reserves the right to issue refunds for changes to numbers or cancellation as credit for future visits
  • COVID-19 policy: In the event of government restrictions impacting your school, or in the event a child or teacher are directed to self-isolate by government our COVID-19 Refund policy applies, and we will refund you minus any transaction fees charged by payment providers
  • Schools visiting the resort should understand the general Terms and Conditions as well as conditions above
