Resort Entry & Shuttles

Why do resorts charge for entry in winter?

Resort in Victoria charge entry fees to support costs of essential services including snow clearing, ski patrol, village buses and environmental initiatives to make guests’ visit comfortable, safe and sustainable.

Snow season 2024 commences 8th of June. All vehicles entering a Victorian Alpine Resort during declared Snow Season must pay a resort entry fee.

2024 Resort Entry Prices

Resort Entry (Car)

$64 per day

Seniors receive complimentary entry for themselves if they are the driver of vehicle and 70 years or older. If passengers of the same vehicle are also over 70, they receive complimentary resort entry. Any passengers in the vehicle not over the age of 70 is charged at the passenger rate of $21pp

Resort Entry (Bus seating 8 or more)

Adult: $20.50
Child: $11

School groups are eligible for a discounted rate by registering and booking their trip in advance.

Season Resort Entry Pass

$599 online or $785 in person per car.

All Resorts Season Passes are now available for $1078 per car.

Can I bring a motorbike to the snow?

Motorcycles are not permitted to enter the resort during declared snow season, except on days where chains are not required to be carried.

Motorcycles are charged at the vehicle rate.

Important information

  • Payment at the gate is card only.
  • Chain hire is not included in Resort Entry fee.
  • You must carry wheel chains and we recommend hiring BEFORE you get to the resort. Learn more
  • You will be refused entry if you arrive at the gate and do not have chains, and we have sold out of your size. Capacity at the gate may be limited.
  • There is no resort entry charge outside of declared snow season (Green season)

Resort Entry Shuttle Service

Is there a shuttle service to avoid driving in the snow?

Yes, from $30 per person return* (one way if departing from top)

If you’d rather not drive to the top, the resort operates a shuttle bus service from Resort Entry during winter season. Children 6 and under are free. A valid resort entry pass must also be purchased.

Refunds are not provided if road conditions are clear or snow falls below entry. The shuttle is not required to access Mt Baw Baw village and is provided as an optional service for customers. Operates during business hours only.

Terms & Conditions

Prices are applicable from Kings Birthday Weekend until declared end of the ski season. Fees are pursuant to the number of days a vehicle stays within the Resort.

“Bus” means a motor vehicle (together with any trailer attached to it), seating more than 8 adults (including the driver). A child on a bus under 6 years is free. All prices are in Australian dollars.
