A family-friendly alpine lodge great for groups in both summer and winter. The lodge has 24 beds in 6 bedrooms (all with private bathrooms) with two large, shared lounges, double kitchen and functional drying room

Nestled amongst the Snowgums, recently renovated John Gardiner Lodge is centrally located in the Mt Baw Baw Village. The Lodge is located near car parking, restaurants and the ski slopes.

John Gardiner Lodge is a ‘family orientated’ lodge, which has:

6 lockable bedrooms, sleeping 24 people / 6 private bathrooms
a security system in place for guests to access the building
heating throughout the Lodge
a log fire, so you can sit by the fire, sipping a drink with friends or family
full length windows, offering landscape views. Mt Baw Baw Alpine Resort is a ‘photographer’s dream location’
a large modern kitchen, with full range of appliances, crockery, cutlery and cookware
seating in the dining area for 24 people
two lounges, one with a wall mounted/smart/widescreen TV
internet connection
an efficient, effective and large drying room/laundry and powder room

Linen: Beds are supplied with mattress protectors, doonas, and pillows with clean doona covers and pillowcases. You will need to bring your own linen and towels. Alternatively, you can hire from Guest Services.

Important Information:

In the White Season, there will be Lodge Leader on site, to help you with enquiries and information.
While we ask you to clean the areas you have used, the Lodge does have contract cleaners who attend the property on designated dates.
In winter there is a two-night minimum stay on weekends (Friday and Saturday nights must be booked together); Sunday through to and including Thursday is a one-night minimum stay.
Winter bookings open early March, and summer bookings open after the end of the winter season.

Winter Access & Transport Information

All accommodation during the winter‑season is not accessible by vehicle. Guests must drop their luggage at Carpark 1, then park in Carpark 2 or 3 before walking to their accommodation.

Oversnow transport is available for luggage only at an additional cost of $40 per trip. This service must be booked in person at the Guest Services building and is only available during Guest Services opening hours.

Resort Entry

For the declared winter season, Resort Entry is not included when booking accommodation at Mt Baw Baw. Resort Entry must be purchased separately and must cover both your arrival and departure days. You can book your Resort Entry pass here.

Full Lodge

Located close to the main carpark, this alpine Lodge offering 6 family rooms with a shared kitchen, dining and lounges. Beds are supplied with mattress protectors, doonas, and pillows. Guests are required to provide their own linen, otherwise linen can be hired from Guest Services at an additional cost.
