A family-friendly alpine lodge great for families and groups in both summer and winter. The lodge has 23 beds in 6 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms with two large shared lounges, double kitchen and functional drying room.

John Gardiner Ski Club is a family-based club, with the lodge catering for winter and summer and alpine recreational activities. It is located in the Mount Baw Baw Alpine Village, at the top of Mount Baw Baw, and located right next to the main car park.

The Lodge offers breathtaking views and plenty of activities both in the summer months (the Green Season) and the winter months (the White Season). The Lodge is a mixture of typical alpine architecture and furnishings and it is heated by both an open (wood burning) fire and a gas furnace which supplies ducted heat into the bedrooms. The Lodge is ‘Warm Comfortable, & Welcoming’.

The Lodge provides accommodation for its members and guests. The lodge has 25 beds in 6 bedrooms in summer (one room has a double bed and five have tri-bunks) and 5 bedrooms in winter. There are 4 bathrooms and where possible each booking group will be given a private/lockable bathroom. For self-catering, there is a double kitchen and large dining area. There are two large lounges: one with the crackling log fire and the other is downstairs, with a large wall mounted TV. There is an equipment room and an efficient and effective drying room. To cater for small children’s needs the lodge has cots and high chairs.

The Lodge is big enough for the whole extended family. The lodge is also suited to small groups such as Bush Walking Clubs, Scout and Girl Guides groups and Small School Groups (for outdoor education). We welcome guests all year. The John Gardiner Ski Club is a Co-Operative Organisation, which is run by members who maintain and manage the Lodge.

Please note: Room 5A is reserved for the lodge manager throughout the winter season.
